Merchants are responsible for determining the prices of their own products on BettaMall. We believe that Merchants play a vital role in this mission. Therefore, Merchants must ensure that prices are fair, transparent, accurately reflect the product value, and comply with all applicable laws.
BettaMall regularly checks the prices of products listed in Merchants’ stores, including shipping costs, and compares them with market prices to ensure they do not mislead customers or harm customer trust. In case of violation, BettaMall may remove the featured offer, delete the products listed, suspend shopping options. Especially, in more serious or repeated cases, we will suspend or even terminate selling privileges.
Some common pricing practices that can harm customers trust include but not limited to:
- Set a reference price misleading customers
- Set price of a product or service significantly higher than recent prices on or off BettaMall
- Sell multiple units of a product at a higher per-unit price than a single unit of the same product
- Charge an excess shipping fee. To assess shipping fees, BettaMall considers different factors such as: current public carrier rates, reasonable handling costs, and customer perception.
